2018 - 2019 Call for Board of Director Nominations

The Nominations Committee is seeking nominations for the open OSPA Board of Directors positions listed below.  Both self-nominations and nominations of your colleagues are encouraged.  Names of nominees, a brief bio, candidate statement and a photo should be emailed to the OSPA office at [email protected] by July 31, 2018. A Slate of Candidates will be sent to all members in August and elections will be held in September (if positions are contested) with successful candidates taking office following the Annual Convention in October.

ELECTED POSITIONS:

  • All candidates for an elected position, except the Technician representative to the Board, must be a pharmacist member of OSPA at the time they are nominated, and must remain so during their term of office.
  • Candidates for an officer position (President Elect) must have been a pharmacist member for a minimum of two years.

President Elect - The successful candidate will automatically ascend to the position of president and immediate past president over the next three years.

Treasurer - The successful candidate will serve a two-year term on the OSPA board as an officer as well as chair of the finance committee.

Southern Region - The successful candidate will serve a two-year term on the OSPA board representing Coos, Curry, Douglas, Lane, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, and Lake Counties.

Eastern Region - The successful candidate will serve a two-year term on the OSPA board representing Baker, Grant, Gilliam, Harney, Malheur, Morrow, Sherman, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, and Wheeler Counties.

APPOINTED POSITIONS:

Community Practice - The successful candidate will serve a two-year term on the OSPA board representing this practice setting.

Health-System/Hospital/Institutional - The successful candidate will serve one year on the OSPA board representing Health-System/Hospital/Institutional pharmacy. Position to be filled by OSHP Past President.

Pacific Faculty Director - The successful candidate will serve two years on the OSPA board representing Pacific University School of Pharmacy. Position to be filled by Pacific University School of Pharmacy.

OSU Faculty Director - The successful candidate will serve two years on the OSPA board representing Oregon State University College of Pharmacy.  Position to be filled by Oregon State University College of Pharmacy.

Pacific University Student Director - The successful candidate will serve one year on the OSPA board representing Pacific University School of Pharmacy students. Position to be filled by Pacific University School of Pharmacy incoming student chapter President.

OSU Student Director - The successful candidate will serve one year on the OSPA board representing Oregon State University College of Pharmacy students.  Position to be filled by Oregon State University College of Pharmacy incoming student chapter President.
